On the first day of school we had a contest to see which group could make the longest paper chain using one piece of paper. We now use the chains as our table centerpieces and colors.

The students completed a "Find someone who..." activity. This helps students get to know each other better, especially if they are new to Curè or in a class with students they were not with last year!

Students built a perch for "Harry" so he could see around the classroom more easily! The goal was to get Harry as high above their desks, using only the supplies given, without putting his safety at risk!

BREAKOUT EDU! Students worked together to open the lockboxes using clues they were given and clues around the room! It was wonderful to get to see them problem solving together!

The M&M Science Experiment: Students completed a mini science experiment using M&Ms. What happens when different colored M&Ms are placed into a bowl of water? The students made a hypothesis and recorded their results. Then, we answered some additional questions by performing the experiment as a class with more M&Ms.

Students made mobiles to hang over their desks that represented Jesus.

Students read one of the Unit's Fairy Tale stories while talking

about the sequence,

vocabulary, and fairy tale traits.

VIP DAY! The students had a wonderful time with their VIPs. Thank you to everyone who came!

20 Million Dollar PBL with Mrs. PicketT!

Students used Place Value and Technology to make "purchases" for our school.

This was the first day with our buddies! The students were excited and nervous for their first time as the older buddies!

Students worked on a Happy Birthday PBL that focused on Place Value, Expanded Form, Comparing Whole Numbers, and Adding/Subtraction multi-digit numbers. Students researched items they wanted to buy while staying within their budget.
